Adaptation of Casey McQuiston’s novel, ‘Red, White, and Blue Blood’ debuted with a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes

Red, White and Blue Blood (2023), production of the Amazon Prime Video based on the bestseller by Casey McQuistonwon over fans around the world, debuting with a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The director Matthew Lopez talked to the Teen Vogue about the possibility of a sequel to the story of Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez) It is prince henry(Nicholas Galitzine). López points out that he would have no problem returning for a sequel, as long as the story is good enough, and not just the desire to make a sequel.

(…) I think there must be a better reason than simply wanting to do an a (sequence). It has to have a reason and a compelling story. I don’t think a sequel is a bad idea, but I don’t think a sequel to be made is necessarily enough.

Still on the production, López responds to criticisms from readers of the work of Casey McQuiston about many scenes between Alex Claremont-Diaz and the prince henry. However, Lopez said that the production took 72 hours to record.

What I will say is that the film has 72 hours. Before I start thinking about sequels, I’m still trying to understand the impact this one (film) has had on the world. And I am incredibly grateful to have been received with so much love, care and enthusiasm.

The story portrays the new reality of Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez), son of the new president of the United States (Uma Thurman) who has become the new darling of the American media. Handsome, charismatic and with a strong personality, Alex has everything to follow in his parents’ footsteps and conquer a career in politics, as he so desires.

But when his family is invited to the royal wedding of British Prince Philip, Alex has to face his first diplomatic challenge: dealing with Henry (Galitzine), Philip’s younger brother, the most adored prince in the world, with whom he is constantly compared ― and that he does not support.

The meeting between the two goes worse than expected, and the next day all the newspapers in the world print photos of Alex and Henry, implying a serious fight between the two. To avoid a diplomatic disaster, they spend a weekend pretending to be best friends and it doesn’t take long for this relationship to evolve into something neither of them could have imagined.
