Bradley Cooper Reveals How Addiction Helped His Career; understand

‘Maestro’ actor and director Bradley Cooper says he’s been sober for 19 years

Bradley Cooper reflected on how sobriety, which is now 19 years old, has positively affected the roles he played in film. In the program Running Wild With Bear Grylls (via Variety) from National Geographic, the actor stated that “If you drink, don’t marry! (2009) it was a career turning point”. In the film, a group of friends travel to a bachelor party and are faced with very unusual situations involving drugs and alcohol.

“I was 36 when it happened, so I had been in the game for 10 years, I didn’t get lost in the fame,” he explained. Cooper. The show host, Bear Gryllsasked him about previous years, to which Bradley replied: “In terms of alcohol and drugs, they were wild years. But that has nothing to do with fame, anyway.”

The artist revealed that he considers himself lucky to have been sober from the age of 29. Still, the past with drugs and alcohol helped him in some way. Cooper played rock star Jackson Maine in the 2018 version of A Star Is BornbesideLady Gaga. The character deals with alcohol addiction.

“It was easier to get into it. And thank God I was at a place in my life where it was easy to deal with it, so I could really let go,” he said.
