On paper, the pairing of two of today’s biggest action stars is very exciting! Dave Bautista is best known for playing Drax in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy saga. As for Jason Momoa, he stood out in the costume of the superhero Aquaman, who will return in Opus 2 on December 20.
The 44-year-old actor also impressed with his performance as the crazy bad guy in Fast X, which gave Vin Diesel a hard time. For his part, Dave Bautista wanted to show that he also knew how to play sensitive characters with his feverish performance in M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin.
With this upcoming Friends movie, Dave Bautista joins the ranks of iconic action movie duos like Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in The Expendables and Evasion or Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson in Hobbs & Shaw.
We’ll have to wait until we hear more about the project, with the writers’ and actors’ strike currently underway in Hollywood.
