While he was shopping Tamara’s edit, Alexandre Castanetti was contacted by producers Mathias Rubin and Eric Juherian, who suggested he read La Colle, written by Christophe Turpin (author of Jean-Philippe).

The film tells the story of Benjamin, who is unfairly stuck on a Saturday for two hours. But once there he realizes that Leila, the girl he secretly loved, is one of the people of that day. Suddenly stuck in a time loop that automatically sends him back to the beginning of the glue once he leaves Layla for more than three minutes, Benjamin will do anything to get away from her. Then he has to wrestle with a torture pawn, a libidinous bodyguard, a somewhat special nurse, and the baddest bunch in high school…
Fascinated by the group theme and the study of adolescence through the prism of school, Alexandre Castaniti updated the script, essentially focused on a love story, to add more humor, especially using the many adventures involved in time travel.
In this sense, the director is inspired by Harold Ramis’ cult film Groundhog Day, as well as Back to the Future, The Butterfly Effect, Terminator, Edge of Tomorrow and Source Code. As for being set within the same setting, it draws on equally classic references: Laurent Cante’s Between the Walls, Sidney Lumet’s 12 Angry Men and, of course, John Hughes’ The Breakfast Club.
Built on this hilarious concept based on the best of American comedy, glue There will be a pleasant surprise with favorite actors (including Arthur Mazetti, Carija Toure, Thomas VDB, Issa Doumbia and Sonia Rolland), funny situations, and as a bonus, a touching message about self-acceptance.
