This is one of the most anticipated movies of the year on the streaming side and after seeing the trailer, the hype is going to be high. Netflix and Zack Snyder have released the first real-life trailer for Rebel Moon , its space opera that will become a new SF franchise.
The 300 and Man of Steel director has been working on the project, which was originally pitched as a Star Wars spin-off, for more than 20 years. Rebel Moon plunges us into the heart of a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy, threatened by the army of a tyrant (Ed Skrein). He pins his best hopes for survival on Cora (France’s Sophia Boutella), a young woman with a mysterious past who lives among the villagers.
Recruiting trained fighters, Korra gathers a small group of warriors from different worlds: misfits, rebels, peasants, and war orphans, all of whom share a thirst for redemption and revenge. When an entire kingdom is threatened by the most unlikely of moons, a battle for the fate of the galaxy begins and a new army of heroes is assembled.

This trailer offers more than 3 minutes of pure spectacle: from the cornfields at sunset to the fights that seem to be well organized, to the majestic creatures that inhabit this world, the world of Rebel Moon may not have anything original, but we can trust Zack Snyder to deliver a quality show.
Netflix took advantage of the release of the trailer to announce the title of this first installment – Son of Fire – which will be available from December 22, as well as its sequel. Part 2, The Notch, arrives on April 19. Zack Snyder has actually made two movies in a row and hopes to make a third if it’s successful.
