A former legend of the anti-gang brigade, known for his brawny and unconventional methods, Nils Cartier quit the police force after a botched intervention led to the death of his wife. Even if it means that he has to create an explosive duet with his 14-year-old daughter, despite her strong temper…

Action comedy

In the summer of 2015, the film Antigang was released, wearing Jean Reno, Caterina Murino and Alban Lenoir. Eight years later, here’s its sequel, Antigang: The Next Generation, where it’s Alban Lenoir who now plays the lead role. Thus, he discovers the character Niels Cartier, who has become a driving school instructor after the death of his wife. He no longer has anything to do with his ex Nils in his new life, which is a little too orderly.

He is the father of Charlotte (Cassiope Mayans), full name: Charlotte-Serge Serge Buren (Jean Reno) in honor of Niels’ former superior, but whom he calls Pope. And Charlotte really is her daddy’s girl! A real hot 14 year old brat with a strong penchant for bravado. He was too young to understand this personality trait of his father when he was still working as a police officer. Today, she considers him a coward and imagines that he was an office worker.

Obviously, he’s not asking anyone’s permission to track down the gang of robbers responsible for his mother’s death. And she continues her stubbornness even after her father’s orders. Then it’s an unlikely father-son duo who decide to foil the plans of the dreaded robbers.

Then we enter pure action comedy with Nils, a little rustler who wants to protect his daughter. And Charlotte, an adrenaline junkie who enjoys watching her father beat her, if she’s the one who ends up winning the fight, of course.

Nostalgia for the first film shouldn’t be out of place, even if the importance of Charlotte’s role lightens the tone considerably. We still find former members of the team, including Serge, even if he is away from the machines and now behind the counter of his restaurant.

Valves, action, shocks and sticks are the order of the day. For this second opus, Nils also found his favorite accessory, but opted for an aluminum version that sounds better on his opponents’ heads!
