The series based on the game “The Last of Us” may receive updates in the coming days. In an interview with The casingStory creator Craig Mazin said spin-offs from the production could be on the way.
“We haven’t talked about it specifically because we’re so focused on just telling the main storyline,” the creator said. “I’m not against the idea of other shows that could derive from these characters or this world.”
The first season of “The Last of Us” premieres in 2023 on HBO. The story is excerpted from the game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
“I don’t know how much more of The Last of Us I could personally do. I mean, these series are so big that I’m using one of my precious few decades left to tell this story. But in principle I have no problem,” Mazin added.
If there was anything that made sense then I don’t see why not […] My great hope is that if there is such a thing, it will be done with the same care, respect and love that we are putting into this series right now.

The future of the series
“If the strikes continue much longer, inevitably, we will have to postpone and that hurts us, it hurts the ratings and it hurts HBO. We all want to go back to work; I think everyone who works right now, including people from the station who are with us at the demonstrations, we all want to solve this problem. Fingers crossed,” the creator of “The Last of Us” points out.
“The Last of Us” post may have spin-offs, according to the series creator who first appeared on Olhar Digital.
