One week before the opening of what could become ‘Rock in Rio in São Paulo’, it’s worth knowing every detail
This is the first edition of the festival which should become a sort of Rock in Rio in Sao Paulo. The shows will be held on September 2, 3 (Saturday and Sunday) and September 7, 9 and 10 (Thursday, Saturday and Sunday holidays), at the Interlagos Circuit, in the south of São Paulo.
A opening of the gates will be at 14:00 and the activities will end at 14:00. The idea is to do it every other year from the Rio event. One year for The Town, another for Rock in Rio. Post Malone, Bruno Mars, foo fighters and Maroon 5 are the protagonists of this inaugural edition.
Are there still tickets for The Town?

How to get to the city?
From the Autodromo train station to the festival entrance it will take you only 8 minutes on foot. For this reason some roads around the Autodrome will be blocked.
The operation conceived by the production in collaboration with the city hall and the government of São Paulo was to give priority to the arrival of people who choose public transport. In an interview with Estadao, Governor Tarcísio de Freitas even said that it would be better for everyone to take the train. “Whoever goes by car will end up on checkpoints,” he said. The special transit system will operate around the clock. All subway and railway lines will be open at all times.
Lines 8 and 9 will have a special express and semi-express service. Exclusive trains, with round trips to specific stations at set times, will have separate boarding from regular services and reduced journey times. For this service it is necessary to purchase a special ticket through the official channels of ViaMobilidade on lines 8 and 9.
How much will draft beer and food cost at The Town?
Drinking:
A 400ml glass of draft beer costs R$18 with the glass. From the second order onwards, the price drops to R$ 15. A presale service is available via The Town app. The prices are the same.
Eat:
In addition to restaurants like McDonald’s, the festival will have tents selling burgers and snacks. In the Piazza del Mercato space, with a scenography inspired by the Municipal Market, the dishes signed by chef Alex Atala pay homage to the neighborhoods of São Paulo.
The Market Square will host gastronomic spaces that will pay homage to the neighborhoods of Mooca, Liberdade, Pinheiros and Vila Madalena, with dishes of Italian and oriental influence.

What can’t you bring to The Town?
Be careful what you shouldn’t bring to the festival. The search is usually rigorous: glass, plastic or metal objects (perfumes, cosmetics, toothpaste or toothbrush); flammable and corrosive substances, bottles, thermos glasses, cans and rigid containers with lids (such as Tupperware). Also, no helmets, firearms or bladed weapons of any kind (knives, brass knuckles, and pocket knives – all obvious, but bear in mind), chairs, stools, and umbrellas are not allowed.
How to watch The Town on live TV
The broadcast of the event will be handled by the Globo channels: Multishow, Canal Bis, Globoplay and TV Globo, which are preparing to provide multi-platform and integrated coverage.
Who will play in The Town?
The shows will take place in nine large spaces, six stages and a scenography inspired by the icons of the architecture of São Paulo.
