Etienne is in a coma

The results of analyzes from Dorian’s canteen confirm the police’s suspicions: the lake water is indeed contaminated with arsenic. But given that the lake and the winery do not share the same water network, everything points to some part of the groundwater being contaminated. Aurore asks one of his colleagues to monitor all drinking water points in the city. It remains to be seen whether it is agricultural, industrial pollution or a terrorist act.

Still without news from Etienne, Benedict died of worry. Even though the police have already checked everything, he confides in Dorian that he is going to go and see if Etienne is somewhere on his boat. That’s when they called from the hospital: they found her husband. Etienne is in a coma, suffering from serious kidney problems, and his prognosis remains uncertain. William thinks he has a chance to get away with it, but he doesn’t know what state his son-in-law will wake up in. He assures Benedict and Dorian that the next few hours will be crucial.

At the edge of a polluted lake, Georges informs Manon and Nordin that dozens of animal carcasses have been found nearby. Manon believes that the entire population should be alerted and people should be warned about the tap water, but Georges does not want to cause general panic for nothing. He prefers to wait for the results of the analysis that is underway.

And exactly, a little later, at the police station, Karim tells Aurore the reassuring news: not a single point of drinking water in the city is contaminated. Georges joins the conversation and tells them that he may have a lead on the pollutant they’re looking for: a recent tire track found around the lake. They were a priori compatible with a van with a tank trailer.

Victor Brunet, on the other hand, is in a low mood. While Raphael tells him that he is completely freed, the businessman has his head elsewhere and is thinking about leaving Rome. He explains to Raphael that the doubts that have been weighing on him have completely ruined the image Romi has of him. He admits that he thought something could happen between them, but now it’s impossible. Raphael listens and seems sorry to his client.

At the hospital, a panicked Benedict warns William: Etienne has just convulsed in his bed. Arriving at his brother’s bedside, William doesn’t seem to notice anything out of the ordinary and assures his sister that Etienne is stable. However, as he leaves the room, Dr. Daunier asks Noor to take Etienne’s constants every 20 minutes without Benedict panicking. He has a feeling that his brother’s condition is getting worse, but he doesn’t want to worry his sister.

At the same time, at the police station, George receives an anonymous letter with the coordinates of another arsenic contamination…
