During the stage of the Moto1000GP category, André Cardoso fell from his vehicle and was hit by Érico Veríssimo




The driver André Veríssimo Cardoso, 42, shared on social networks the route he covered on the track of the Autódromo Zilmar Beux, before suffering the serious accident last Sunday, which took the lives of him and his professional colleague Érico Veríssimo da Rocha, 38 years old.

The accident occurred after André fell off his motorcycle. The pilot tried to quickly signal the competitors that had appeared on the track, but Érico was unable to dodge him and hit André squarely. Both were treated at the scene, but succumbed to their injuries and died the same day.

André was born in São Paulo and was champion of the 600cc Pro and 1000cc Evo categories of SuperBike Brasil. He allegedly started racing in motorcycle racing in 2011, at the age of 30. Érico, from Pernambuco, was currently 7th in the overall standings of the Moto1000GP championship. He leaves behind a five-year-old son.
