Philip Garrel: 5 actors accuse the director of “inappropriate gestures and kisses”

Filmmaker Philippe Garrel, whose latest film Le Grand Chariot is released on September 13, has been accused by several actresses of making a sexist proposal against women getting film roles.

According to Mediapart, which revealed a long investigation on this topicA 75-year-old director would do it Sexual propositions to 5 actresses during casting, four of which involved attempted non-consensual kisses.

In the Media Party investigation, some actors testify under the condition of anonymity. Others decided to do it openly, like Anna Mughallis, Clotilda Hesme, Laurence Cordier or Marie Viall.
