Beetlejuice 2: Cinematographer Reveals Plot Details: ‘Craziest World Possible’

Approximately 35 years after launch, the classic The ghosts have fun (1988), directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton, will get a sequel with the return of much of the original cast. Now the director of photography Haris Zambarloukos gave some details of the plot of Beetlejuice 2but without giving spoilers, of course.

According to information from The Wrap, Zambarloukos commented on the fundamental themes in the production. It is worth noting how the filming of Beetlejuice 2 were paralyzed due to strikes by actors and screenwriters in hollywoodwho claim new rights for workers in the entertainment industry.

“In the heart, Beetlejuice [2] it’s a story about a family. And now it’s been 30 years, and what are the intricacies and the human condition of keeping a family together all that time in the craziest world possible? That’s why I choose projects,” said the artist. “That human connection for me is always at the forefront.”

In addition to Michael Keaton as Beetlejuicethe cast of the sequel also includes Winona Ryder (Lydia Deetz), Jenna Ortega (daughter of Lydia), Monica Bellucci (wife of Beetlejuice), Willem Dafoe (actor), Catherine O’Hara (Delia Deetz), between others. The premiere date is set for September 6, 2024 in the US.
