Now we can say: yes, the series live action Adapted from the manga One Piece is a success! After several years of waiting, Monkey D. The live-action adaptation of the adventures of Luffy and his Straw Hat crew lands on the Netflix platform this Thursday, August 31st.
Earlier in the week, a preview organized at the Grand Rex in Paris allowed fans and influencers to catch the first two episodes of the program. The reviews were unanimously positive, marking a triumph for the series directed by the manga’s author himself, Eiichiro Oda.
An adventure story interwoven with action and comedy, One Piece follows Monkey D. The journey of Luffy, a young pirate who dreams of capturing the famous Gol D. Roger’s treasure and become the new pirate king. Gifted with elastic powers, Luffy crosses paths with allies who form the Straw Hat crew.
