From the age of 8

Directed by Peter Tewksbury, Emile and the Detectives is an adventure that is enjoyable for parents, but will especially appeal to children! The characteristic is calibrated for them, mostly ineffective adults and capable, resourceful children, not forgetting to give them a few faults.
It should be noted for parents who may be fans of the book from which the film is adapted that many parts of the story have been changed and that the relationship between Emily and her mother, very disturbing, is completely ignored here.
What will they like?

- The atmosphere of the children’s group “Club des 5”, which is sometimes divided, sometimes united, but always human.
- Three thugs who are caricatures at will and a fair balance between disturbing and funny.
- A pony character played by Cindy Cassel who excels in the way she reacts to boys and shuts them up!
What might be bothering them:

- Credit music that sells a movie that’s a bit dark when it really isn’t.
- Hypnotist Grundys, who is also a wizard, and his special appearance can be a little destabilizing. Fortunately, it’s not that dangerous!
- As in the adventures of Bernard and Bianca, we meet thieves who will use the small size of a child to achieve their goals, but Emil has the resources and does very well!
