Hulu announced the cancellation of the series a month after the second season finished airing. How I Met Your Father, then, ends abruptly without a final conclusion and, above all, without answering the main question that creates all the salt and mystery. Show: Who is the father of Sophie’s child?

If we leave Sophie (Hilary Duffy) in a relationship with Jesse (Chris Lowell) at the end of Season 2, fans have a whole different theory! For some, there is no doubt that the father of Sophie’s child is none other than Sid (Suraj Sharma), Jesse’s best friend.

Several elements support this hypothesis: Sid is about to separate from his wife Hannah (Ashley Reyes), whose long-distance relationship is falling apart; Sid loves Valentine’s Day, which is a trait of his father’s character, and we don’t see Sophie’s son’s face at the end, unlike Teddy’s children we saw in How I Met Your Mother.
