After more than 10 years since the launch of Saw – The Ending (2010), the franchise will once again tell the story of John Kramer (Jigsaw original), performed by Tobin Bellin the prequel Saw Xwhich premieres on September 28 in Brazilian theaters.
During an interview with empirethe director Kevin Greutert commented on what fans and audiences can expect from the new entry in the iconic horror franchise, set between Deadly Games (2004) and Saw 2 (2005).
“[O novo filme] it’s an emotional journey you go with John Kramer and less of a slaughterhouse that you experience through the victims’ point of view,” he said. “Obviously there will be people who won’t be able to deal with this, but I think it’s a good chance to reach people other than gore junkies.”
“This one has returned to a more realistic level. Not at the level of simplicity of the first Saw, but close to it,” continued the filmmaker in the conversation. “The more the public feels that a smart engineer – which he is – could figure out what to do with these parts and make them work, the better.”
