Sandra Brito, Kayky Brito’s mother, said the actor will remain sedated and breathe with the aid of devices for the next 48 hours. The information was confirmed by the press office of the Copa D’Or hospital, where the actor is hospitalized, this Tuesday (9/5).
According to Sandra’s publication, the artist is still “recovering from the surgeries” performed to repair a fracture in his right pelvis and upper limb.
“The Copa D’Or Hospital informs that the patient Kayky Fernandes Brito will remain sedated, on mechanical ventilation for the next 48 hours, still convalescent after the surgeries performed yesterday (9/4)”, reads the bulletin signed by the Edno doctors Wallace, Ney Pecegueiro and Marcelo London.

Kayky Brito was run over on Saturday morning (2/8) on Avenida Lucio Costa, in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro. The 34-year-old actor suffered multiple trauma and traumatic brain injury.
The Military Police confirmed in a statement that the driver was taken to the 16th DP and to the IML (Forensic Medical Institute) for the alcohol test, which resulted negative. The case was registered as negligent bodily harm and now the civilian police will investigate the possible speeding.
On Monday (9/4), the medical team of the Copa D’Or Hospital informed that Kayky Brito is still in serious condition after undergoing an operation to treat the fractures sustained following an investment.
Conductor Bruno De Luca, who witnessed the artist being run over, is due to make his statement to the police on Wednesday (9/6).
