The release of the new season of the horror series is scheduled for 2026
Ryan Murphy announced this Friday, 31, that it is developing a new season of American horror story. This is the thirteenth chapter of his horror anthology and the premiere is scheduled for Halloween next year, i.e. in October 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by the revelation of the cast, which will have big news Arianna Grandeas well as the return of some of Murphy’s regular work partners. Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassetto, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe AND Leslie Grossmann complete the cast.
This isn’t the first time Murphy and Ariana Grande have worked together. The pop star was in the cast of the series Scream queens. He will be in Brazil next week as part of the publicity tour of Evil: forevernext to Cinzia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey and the director Jon M. Chu.
American horror story appeared in 2011 and follows the anthology format. Each season tells a different story, but it is the director’s practice to choose the same actors quite frequently. Another big surprise in the announcement is Lange’s presence, as she hasn’t starred in a season of AHS since season 8, in 2018, titled Apocalypse.
The 12 seasons of American horror story are available to stream on Disney+.
