Tomorrow is ours: Will Francois and Charles die? Clemens Lasalles confesses to a shocking high school intrigue

The drama that plays out tomorrow at Agnes Varda High School Belongs to Us, will it cost the life of one of the heroes of the daily soap opera TF1?

In this Wednesday night’s episode at 7pm, Agnes Varda High School explodes, destroying a large part of the building, which doesn’t take long to collapse. While several characters are injured, others such as François (Emmanuel Moir), Charlie (Clémence Lasalles), Liz (Juliette Mabilat), Marianne (Luce Muschel) and Dorian (Ryan Huber) find themselves under the rubble.

An already extremely dramatic situation that only gets more complicated in the final seconds of the episode. Indeed, before François, immobilized and badly injured, calls his son Adam (Alain Le Barre) to say goodbye, a second landslide occurs. Charlie has just enough time to shoot at Francois before the rocks hit him and his companion.

At the other end of the line, Adam and Soizic (Charlie Nune) don’t understand and start imagining the worst. Will Francois and Charlie die?

Catching up on the plot of this new disaster of tomorrow that belongs to us, Clemens Lassalas spoke to us about the filming of two special episodes airing this Wednesday and Thursday night on TF1 and revealed his character’s fate, as well as his own. François, which will have serious consequences in the continuation of the series.

AlloCiné: What was your reaction when you found out what they were preparing for the beginning of the school year with this elemental arch in the gymnasium?

Clemens Lassalas : I was really surprised because we didn’t expect anything special, even though things always happen at the beginning of the school year. No one saw the loss of this school and all that it would bring. But it’s an announcement that was really fun because we knew we were going to make a really extraordinary story.

This is your second disaster ark, after the spoon hostage crisis two years ago. As an actor, do you like these intrigues that take you out of the everyday life of the series a little bit?

It’s incredible because it forces us to play something different apart from everyday life. It’s a challenge every time. And there’s a bit of work to be done upstream in the sense that it’s not what we’re used to in real life, thankfully (laughs). For it to be reliable, you need to get information and manage to install yourself. But it is certain that for us actors, these special arches are a real possibility.

Visually and in terms of special effects, these two episodes are quite impressive, especially given the intense production pace and budget of the daily series, which is comfortable but not American blockbuster. Are you proud to be part of a series that manages to offer such event arches and such quality?

As you said, I realize that we do not envy the Americans. Even in a daily newspaper, we manage to produce a high-quality, completely convincing story. We use special effects on our scale and it works, it works. Yes, I am very proud.

At the end of this Wednesday’s episode, while Francois is still on the phone with Adam and Soizic, the ceiling finally collapses and collapses on Francois and Charlie. Charlie has just enough time to run over Francois and stand on top of him to protect him. Should we think about the future? How will they get out of this ordeal?

Of course, Charlie will do anything to escape, seeing that his beloved is truly between life and death. He is in very bad shape, he is afraid of her. At some point, a certain anger will arise in him and push him to move. He will find a way out of the school in the ruins. And then the firemen will take care of Francois. And the rest remains to be seen. But it is clear that he will not come out of this collapse unscathed. And that will lead to other things after that.

The sequence in which Francis calls Adam to say goodbye is great. Was it particularly difficult to shoot?

Yes, absolutely. They added a plan where I nod to get me into all of this. But clearly it is Emmanuel who carries this whole sequence. This final scene is terrifying because we all tell ourselves that we don’t know if Francois will survive. And Emmanuelle does it so well that it was impossible to play the strong woman that I had to be at that time.
