Brazilian Reinier has a new home in Europe. This Thursday the player revealed by Flamengo showed up at the Frosinone, from Italy. The player arrives on season-long loan from Real Madrid. The bond does not include a purchase option.
At 21, this will be Reinier’s third club on the Old Continent. Purchased from Real Madrid in January 2020, he was loaned that year to Borussia Dortmund, where he remained for two years. Last season he was on loan at Girona. The player failed to distinguish himself at either club.
“Hello Frosinone fans, I’m Reinier. I’m very happy to be here. I count on everyone’s presence at the matches. I come to help and give my contribution to all of you. We’re together”, said Reinier, who concluded with “Come on , Frosinone.”
Sold for 30 million euros (R$135 million at the time), the athlete never played in the Real Madrid first team. With Castilla, a merengue B team, he made three appearances, with two goals scored and an assist.
Revealed by Flamengo in 2019, Reinier stood out in that magical year for Rubro-Negro and won the Copa Libertadores and Campeonato Brasileiro titles. In 2021, he was part of the Brazilian team’s campaign that won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
