Valentine’s Day is already this Sunday, so the prepared a list of series that you can marathon alongside the ones you love.

There are several productions that can be the choice to celebrate the date and the marathon together with your partner. With this year’s Valentine’s Day taking place on Sunday, you can sit on the sofa and enjoy a good streak in the best of company. Sure, you can marathon any type of series, but here we have decided to stick to productions that are full of romance or have a love theme as a theme.

So, to the list!

bridgerton

“Bridgerton” reached its second season this year and is one of the biggest audience hits on Netflix. The series follows the Bridgerton family, with each season focusing on one of the brothers.

The first revolves around Daphne Bridgerton and her relationship with Simon, the Duke of Hastings. The second focuses on Viscount Anthony Bridgerton and how his search for a wife places him between sisters Edwina and Kate Sharma.

The costume series is an adaptation of Julia Quinn’s novels and is produced by the legendary Shonda Rhimes. “Bridgerton” varies between romance and comedy and is a good choice for couples to watch on Valentine’s Day.

heartbreaker

Another Netflix production, “Heartstopper”, tells the story of Charlie, an openly gay boy who ends up falling in love with Nick, the popular athlete at school. The two get closer and become friends, but Charlie tries to find out: does the feeling come only from one side, or is Nick falling in love with him too?

Couples looking for a carefree and romantic LGBTQIA + series will fall in love with “Heartstopper,” based on the comic of the same name written and illustrated by Alice Oseman.

Modern love

“Modern Love” is a series based on true stories, told in a weekly column published by the American newspaper The New York Times. The series is an anthology – each episode tells a different story – and the common theme is love, in its different forms. Therefore, it is an ideal production to try on Valentine’s Day.

love life

Another anthology series to watch on Valentine’s Day, “Modern Love” aims to follow a person’s love life, throughout their life, every season. In the first, we are introduced to Darby, a character played by Anna Kendrick, from her first to her last love. So, let’s get to know Marcus Watkins, played by William Jackson Harper better.

Normal people

Adapted from Sally Rooney’s book Normal People, Normal People follows Marianne and Connell, two young men from the same rural town who end up being involved for life. The series is profound and explores the depths of the couple’s relationship, as they face many challenges along their journey.

The time traveler’s wife

Finally, we have such a new production that it hasn’t previewed all of its episodes yet. The Time Traveler’s Wife series is another adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s book of the same name. The story was told again in the 2009 film “I Love You Forever” with Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana.

As the title already says, the series follows the story of a woman and her husband, who happens to be a time traveler. In all, the production will have 6 episodes and 4 are already available on HBO Max. Episode 5 will debut on June 12, just Valentine’s Day, and the series will end on June 19.
