Netflix has revealed a new video for the anime “Tekken: Bloodline”, based on the popular game “Tekken”. Released on the final day of Geeked Week, the material features unedited footage of the adaptation with commentary from Bandai Namco veteran and director of the fighting franchise Katsuhiro Harada.
The first anime based on “Tekken” will tell the origins of Jin Kazama, one of the main characters of the franchise. He was introduced in “Tekken 3”, released for PlayStation in 1997.
The synopsis reads: “Jin Kazama learned the art of family self-defense from his mother when he was still very young. But not all that technique managed to save him from the evil that suddenly appeared, destroying everything he loved most. Angry at not being able to stop this tragedy, Jin has sworn revenge and set out on a quest for more powers to carry out his plan. This quest will lead him into the greatest battle of all time.
The series will also feature other famous characters from the games, such as Paul Phoenix, Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya, King and even the recent Leroy Smith, who made his debut in “Tekken 7”.
“Tekken: Bloodline” doesn’t have a release date yet.
