In Justified, Timothy Olyphant plays Marshal Raylan Givens, a quiet and strong-willed lawman haunted by his past who returns to his hometown to bring justice to those who need it. The original series, which often appeared on lists of the 100 best series of the 2010s, ran for six seasons and, to the delight of fans, recently returned with the sequel Justified: City Primeval, which debuted on FX on July 18th and concluded on August 29th.

In these new episodes, Raylan Givens, eight years after leaving Kentucky, now lives in Miami with his 15-year-old daughter (Vivian Olyphant, daughter Timothy Olyphant). A chance encounter takes him to Detroit, where he meets a dangerous sociopath, Clement Mansell (Boyd Holbrook), who has escaped from prison several times.

Speaking to IndieWire (via MoviePilot ), co-showrunner Michael Diener revealed that he was once called Timothy Olyphant which was then shooting once… in Hollywood Quentin Tarantino. On the set, the actor and the director started discussing the novel City Law On Elmore Leonard and how he could have a great season justified. Michael Dinnerwho was then in the process of developing the book as an independent series, found the idea interesting and everything went from there.
