Samsung prepares artificial intelligence chatbot in collaboration with Microsoft, website says


New rumors suggest that Samsung has teamed up with Microsoft to develop a generative AI chatbot using OpenAI LLM

A new voice on developing your own artificial intelligence SAMSUNG suggests that the South Korean company has entered into a partnership with Microsoft to use Azure OpenAI services in your tool. The goal would be to create a solution for internal use by the manufacturer’s employees.



This rumor, shared by South Korean website EDaily, follows a series of reports released by the company designs a chatbot to rival AI products from US companies. Previous rumors, however, indicated that Samsung’s partnership in this mission was with Naver.

Samsung’s chatbot would be able to help carry out tasks such as translating texts and summarizing documentation, among other applications. The AI ​​solution would primarily serve to optimize processes and accelerate the workflow of the South Korean company.

If the rumor is confirmed, the partnership with Microsoft would give access to OpenAI’s large-scale language models, the same ones that power ChatGPT. It is worth mentioning that the Redmond giant has invested in OpenAI and has signed an exclusive agreement to offer access to LLMs through Azure cloud computing services.

Interestingly, in May this year, the Galaxy mobile phone maker banned its employees from the business use ChatGPT within your offices as a way to preserve company data.

At the same time, the manufacturer announced that its smart home devices will get a new version of Bixby with generative artificial intelligence features which will be able to give personalized suggestions to users.

Samsung is expected to reveal more about its plans and initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence and chatbots this Tuesday (12) at the Real Summit 2023 event, which will be held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
