The explosion that took place last week at Agnès Varda’s high school in Tomorrow Belongs To Us was just the beginning of a nightmare for Francois Lehout (Emmanuel Moir), whose world will be shattered in the coming episodes by some very bad news.
Rescued by Charlie and rushed to the hospital after this unprecedented disaster, which offers a heavy dose of suspense, Francois, badly injured in a collapsed high school, is given emergency surgery by Aaron Leclerc (Stani Coppet). ) in an episode airing this Monday, September 11 on TF1.
But inside A new clip from Tomorrow Belongs To Us pre-released by the channelAaron’s post-op visit with his patient reveals that the operation was much more difficult than expected…
François learns that he has cancer
A few days after the operation, Aaron arrives in Francois’ hospital room to check on the patient. He then explains to her why his surgery took so long: a mass was found near his left lung!
“When I opened you up, I found a suspicious mass that I had to remove, above the left lung.”– confides Aaron Francois, his expression is quite serious. “It’s a cancerous tumor. We’ll have to do tests, namely a PET scan, to see if there are other tumors or metastases.”.
In an instant, Françoise’s life changes. A French teacher realizes that she has cancer and does not know if it is an isolated tumor or if the disease may spread to other parts of her body. Fearing the worst, he tries to find out what will happen if the metastases are indeed found during future examinations.
“If that’s the case, the oncologist will take over and set a protocol to follow.”– Aaron answers, trying to be reassuring. “But we’re not there yet. Maybe it’s just an isolated tumor that didn’t have time to spread.”.
Shocked by the news, François asks the doctor to keep the diagnosis to himself and not tell Charlie (Clémence Lasalles) or Soizic (Charlie Nune) until he knows more about his cancer.
A secret that could have consequences for Charlie and François’ love story, but also for François’ life in a much more global way, as Clément LaSalle told us in an interview.
One thing is certain: the next episodes of Tomorrow Belongs To Us, also marked by Vanessa’s return to Sète, promise to be very interesting for the characters of the TF1 series.
