Virgil is still paralyzed by Leah’s fire and memory when Tom calls out to him for help. Virgil finally reacts and enters the hideout with a gun. Yannis shoots, Virgil returns and kills him. Tom is unconscious. He managed to get her out of the burning building.

Early in the morning, Tom wakes up in the car to find Virgil. The teenager tries to understand and thanks his mentor for saving his life. He doesn’t understand how Janis could want to kill him. Virgil reassures him: Yannis can’t do anything against him. He then tells Tom that they are going to meet his sister near the camp and that he will have to stay with her. Tom disagrees, he wants to stay with Virgil. But he realizes that this is impossible. The police will investigate, they should not be seen together.

The police found the lifeless body of Yanis. Hugo appreciates this with Becker and Manus. According to him, Yanis died from a bullet in the heart, at the time when the fire was spreading in the place. He adds that he is sure that he started the fire before he died. When Hugo reveals the victim’s identity to them, Becker realizes that the dealer killed Stan, the same man Manu was looking for.

Virgil takes Tom to Emma and informs the young woman that her brother is shaken and she will have to take care of him. Emma thanks him for everything. Virgil hugs Tom and leaves. Emma apologizes to Tom for not being there for her. He takes her in his arms. Virgil watches them from a distance, relieved.

In the gallery, Alix is worried. He confides in Helen that he’s afraid that Virgil’s worries might interfere with the marriage. Elena comforts him, making sure that everything will be fine.

Manu joins Virgil on the dock and tells him about Yannis’ death. He is convinced that Virgil killed him to protect Tommy. But Virgil continues to lie to her, assuring her that she didn’t kill anyone. Manu loses his temper and tells his friend that he is going to jail for his stupidity. Virgil points out that he has no proof, but Manu knows that his colleagues will do anything to find him. And if it’s not, it’s Yanis’ accomplices who follow him and want revenge. But Virgil stands his ground and continues to pretend that he has nothing to do with all this.

Thierry and Manu analyze the investigation with Becker. Thierry reveals that the gun found on Yannis is indeed the one that killed Stan. Becker understands that this is a drug war. Unfortunately, the police did not find Yanis’ phone.

At the same time, Virgil looks at Yannis’ phone and returns to Obert’s messages asking Yannis to do his work and hurry up. Virgil ends up calling Obert on the questionable phone. He tells her that Yanis is dead, that he is the one who killed her, and that she has the phone. Obert tries to find out who he is and asks what he wants. Virgil orders him to leave Tom alone. If he or one of his accomplices attacks Tom, Virgil makes Obert swear that he will hand over Yanis’ cell phone to the police, who will then be able to track him down.

Karine got a job at L Cosmétiques

Enrique criticizes Leonor for ignoring his recommendations and speaking directly to Elizabeth Bastide about Carine’s case. Because of him, he is now being put forward as a candidate for the position he is responsible for. Leonor apologizes, claiming that she didn’t mean to force her hand and just wanted to talk to Karine. He points out that he is clearly under no obligation to hire her and the decision is up to him.

Elizabeth comes and interrupts their conversation. He informs Enrique that he will be present during Karine’s interview. Enrique looks annoyed.

Karine arrives at L Cosmétiques a little stressed. Enrique looks him over and explains the tasks he must complete if he gets the job. He claims it’s a very physical job, but Karine insists she knows the job of a janitor. Elizabeth joins them and tries to support Karine’s candidacy by stating that she is too young and will do very well. According to him, Karine has all the physical capabilities for this position. Enrique specifies that he will have to drive the truck. Karine admits she’s never done it before, but Elizabeth reassures her: she’ll be able to learn to use it internally.

Karine thanks Elizabeth and Enrique for visiting, then leaves. Elizabeth believes that Karin would be perfect for the position, but lets Enrique know that she does not want to influence him and the choice is his.

Maeva returns home and finds her mother. He tells her that L Cosmétiques is going to hire him. Maeva is delighted. Karin then confides in her that she realized at the end of the interview that Elizabeth was one of the major shareholders in the real estate company. She is convinced that he wants to hire her to clear her conscience and hesitates to accept the position. Maeva believes that this is not her problem. In his opinion, the mother should take advantage of this opportunity. Karin was finally convinced.
