one piece The live-action series, which debuted on Netflix on August 31st, is apparently adapted from the beloved animated series, itself adapted from Eiichiro Oda’s manga of the same name. The story tells about monkey D. Luffy, a young man with the ability to stretch his body like rubber, who travels with his Straw Hat crew in search of the treasure known as One Piece, which will make him King of the Pirates.
If the first season adapted the first twelve volumes of the manga, the second, in turn, will focus on the saga of Alabasta, which is told from volumes 12 to 23.
