According to the leak, the smartphone may feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 as the main performance component. This means he has to give up 8 Gen 3, which it should already be Qualcomm’s new top-of-the-line platformits launch is scheduled for October, before the Honor smartphone.

This is a similar strategy to the one seen with the Honor 90 Pro, which arrived with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 while the 8 Gen 2 was already available. While in practice this doesn’t represent such a significant difference in terms of performance, it’s possible that some enthusiasts will be disappointed by not having the latest chip.

Furthermore, the rumors also mention some probable display features of the Honor 100 Pro: it must have an AMOLED panel, with a resolution of 1,224 x 2,700 pixels. There is also support for 120Hz refresh rates and 3,840Hz PVM dimming.

This screen should have a centralized cutout at the top, to accommodate a front sensor that should have a high number of megapixels. It remains to be seen whether this hole will have the traditional circular shape, or will have the same pill shape seen in the Honor 90 Pro.

Other specifications of the new smartphone have not been revealed, but it could inherit some aspects seen in the current model:

  • Up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage in the most advanced versions;
  • 200MP main camera and 50MP front camera;
  • 5,000 mAh battery, with support for 90W charging;

In addition to the Honor 100 Pro, another highly anticipated launch from the brand is the Magic 6 Ultimate model. It should be an even more powerful option, with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 200MP sensor in the telephoto lens.
