“Your live cannot be recommended and will be limited to search results”, reads a notice published on the platform by the creator
The short video platform Tick tock has attracted attention in recent days with the disclosure of lives by creators acting as non-playable charactersknown as NPCs. However, a recent notification from the social network indicates that a restriction has been placed on this live content.
The profile @lucaskalango published a video detailing the drop in views. He had access to a notice on the platform that said the following:
“Your live stream cannot be recommended and will be restricted to search results because it may contain content that manipulates user engagement, as followed by next. This is in line with the For You feed suitability standards [com conteúdo sugerido por algoritmo] according to our Community Guidelines.”
@lucaskalango NPC Lives Restricted on TikTok NPC lives have become a rage in recent months around the world, and especially in the last week in Brazil. But today, TikTok has already updated its automatic content detection system in Lives to restrict, ban, or block NPC-type Lives that promote repetitive behavior, algorithm manipulation, and false engagement. The restriction is just a warning and not for live broadcast, but limits its distribution. The live broadcast does not appear to you and only the people who are already present or who see the live broadcast directly on your profile remain followers. The live restriction is automatic and not permanent, in the next live everything returns to normal. But this makes it clear that TikTok doesn’t want this type of content in its life, but rather original content and real interactions.
In the video description, Kalango says:
“The restriction is just a warning and not for the live broadcast, but limits its distribution. The live broadcast does not appear on For You and only people who are already there or who see the live broadcast directly on your profile remain as followers. The restriction on the live is automatic and not permanent, in the next live everything goes back to normal. But this makes it clear that TikTok does not want this type of content in its lives, but rather original content and real interactions.”
YouTuber Felipe Bressanim, known as Felca, celebrated the news. He has already run a few lives as an NPC, but in a satirical way.

What are the lives of NPCs on TikTok
What are NPC lives
“NPC Lives” are live content made on TikTok in which content creators adopt fictional characters, often inspired by characters from video games, films, series, or even characters they create themselves.
During these actions, the creators play these characters, interact with the audience and often improvise economic, dramatic or narrative situations. Typically, some viewers pay money in real time for the influencer to react in a certain way.
