“Enchanting acrobatic jump!” : Laura Ingalls’ spectacular fall on the set of Little House on the Prairie

Who has never seen Little House on the Prairie, one of whose stars recently disappeared? Probably not many people! Because the NBC program from 1974 to 1983, which chronicled the adventures of a family of American pioneers, is a must. A cult family program, full of good feelings, which we imagine was filmed in the greatest tranquility. and still…

At the microphone of our colleagues at Télé StarActress Melissa Gilbert, who portrays little Laura Ingalls, recently revealed that she injured herself several times while filming the popular series.

“I got injured many times on the set of Little House on the Prairie.”– said the actor at the last television festival in Monte-Carlo. “I got stung by a bee, scraped my knee when I fell, sprained my wrist and got a sunburn…the worst ever!”

But it was falling into the creek that really marked the American, now 59. “One time, between scenes, I sat behind the camera on a little folding chair by the stream”he explains. “We were playing cards and something happened and I said, ‘Yeah!’ I threw my hands in the air and my chair fell back. I fell into the stream in my suit.”

“I fell into the water and when I fell, I grabbed my braids so I wouldn’t get wet”Melissa Gilbert concludes with a smile. “I didn’t hurt myself, but I did a fascinating acrobatic jump!”
