Lionsgate released this Wednesday (20th) an unprecedented trailer of The song of birds and snakesnew prequel film to the franchise Hunger GamesS. The new preview shows more of what the feared young President Snow had to face, revealing an intense and somewhat cruel past.
The glorious cast of The song of birds and snakes also includes Viola Davis as Dr. Volumnia Gaul, the story’s main villain, as well as Peter Dinklage (game of Thrones) and Hunter Schaefer (Euphoria).
Produced by a team of veterans of Hunger Games, the film is directed by Francis Lawrence, responsible for directing the last three feature films in the series. The screenplay was written by Collins (the author) and Michael Arndt, who also worked on the second chapter of the saga, On fire.
The first Hunger Games was released in 2012. The story is set in a dystopian future, where the United States is called Panem and every year a boy and a girl from each district of the country must participate in the Hunger Games, a televised competition in which young people fight to survive until only one champion remains.
