Un Si Grand Soleil Preview: Episode Summary for Friday, September 22, 2023 [SPOILERS]

Virgil takes off

Virgil and Alix are at sea and spend their last moments together. Even if he doesn’t know when they’ll be able to see each other again, Virgil is confident that the police will one day let them guard him. Alix prefers to see the bright side of things. In fact, she plans to throw a mega party for their canceled wedding. In fact, the gallerist mostly tries to hide the pain and uses humor to avoid crying. While Virgil tells her that she will remain the woman of his life, he urges her to pay attention to him. Virgil then finally tells her that he loves her before letting her go. It is only when he gets into the boat that will allow him to return to dry land that Alix then sheds a few tears.

At the police station, Ian and Commissioner Becker investigate the investigation. According to the harbor master, Virgil left the harbor the day before. Since everything points to him being a fugitive, the commissioner decides to make a report to Interpol. However, the police are still curious that Virgil escaped just as they were about to arrest him. That’s why they wonder if someone from home warned them.

Not far from there, Alix calls Ludo and tells him that the wedding has been cancelled. Because he wants to know why, she makes him believe that her fiancé was not, and now he needs time to think. Alix tries to hold back her emotions.

On the other hand, Manu returns to the police station and immediately demands to speak with Commissioner Becker, realizing that his boss sent him to Spain to avoid Virgil’s investigation. If Becker believes that he saved her from a mistake, Manu criticizes her for not trusting him.

At the same time, Tom thanks Achilles for warning him about Virgil. Now the teenager hopes that his patron was not arrested by the police. Needless to say, Tom feels guilty for ruining Virgil’s life. He would never have left without her. Even though Achilles reminds him that he only did it to help his mother, Tom mostly sees himself back at square one. Despite everything, Achille trusts his friend and assures him that he has changed. According to him, he realized that he should stop fooling around.

At Alix’s request, Helen prepares a wedding cancellation email to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. The gallery owner then goes to the police station where he is questioned by Lt. Cross. Of course, Alix claims that she knows nothing about the disappearance of her ex-fiancé.

Meanwhile, Eva and Manu discuss Virgil’s departure. And suffice it to say, the couple struggle to understand why they sacrificed everything for a teenager they barely know. For them, Virgil felt too guilty after Leah’s death and wanted to save someone to make up for it.

At the end of the day, Alix gives Tom a letter from Virgil. He is moved when he reads Virgil’s last words:

“Tom, first I want to tell you how happy I was to know you and how I wish I could go a little further with you. But life decided otherwise. Who knows, maybe we’ll meet again one day. Whatever happens, I’m sure you’ll be a good boy.

You have gone through a lot of difficult times. You may suffer from others, but no matter what happens, you should never give up. Never. Life still has so many precious things to offer. You have to take every chance you get. You can and should make something beautiful out of it. Have faith in yourself and tell yourself that you deserve it. Now you and you alone have the keys to the truck. Good luck.“.

A few kilometers away, Virgil takes off on his boat with Lea’s ghost in his arms…

Ludo gets lost in his feelings a little more

Ludo and Noemi decided to go a little apart to evaluate their feelings. Ludo wants to take her to the Pyrenees, which doesn’t really surprise the young woman, since they’ve already talked about it in the past.

At the end of the day, Ludo joins Jade at work and settles the case with her. He then makes it clear to her that nothing will ever happen between them again because he wants to be with Noem. When he suggests that they remain friends, Jade replies that she only came back to Montpellier for him. Just as she is about to leave, Ludo gives in to temptation and kisses Jade passionately.

In turn, Noemi confides in Elodi the story of Ludo. Although they have a difficult history, the young woman begins to believe that a love story between them is possible.
