The new movie “Hunger Games” has a thrilling trailer

Paris Filmes has released new posters and a thrilling trailer for “The Hunger Games: Song of Birds and Serpents,” the prologue to the hit “Hunger Games” series. The film is set during the tenth edition of the games and highlights the characters of Rachel Zegler (“Love, Sublime Love”) and Tom Blyth (of “The Golden Age” series) in the ferocity of the games and behind-the-scenes political intrigue . . But when the adrenaline drops, it is also possible to observe the beginning of a love story between the protagonists, which has everything to end very badly.

The new production brings to the screen the last book of the saga, written by Suzanne Collins and published in 2020, after the success of the films. Set 64 years before Katniss Everden’s victory in the Hunger Games, the plot stars Zegler as Lucy Gray Baird, a tribute from the poor District 12. Selected to participate in the “Hunger Games”, she receives mentorship from the young Coriolanus Snow (Blyth), decades before becoming the powerful president of Panem. In the plot, the future president is an 18-year-old young man, born with a silver spoon and a strong moral sense, which will be lost as he becomes eager to build his own legacy.

The cast also includes Hunter Schafer (“Euphoria”), Laurel Marsden (“Ms. Marvel”), Jason Schwartzman (“Fargo”), Ashley Liao (“Physical”), Josh Andrés Rivera (also of “Love, Sublime Love ” ) ), Mackenzie Lansing (“Mare of Easttown”) and the duo Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”) and Viola Davis (“The Suicide Squad”) as the main villains, mentors of the tenth edition of the Hunger Games.

The film is once again directed by Francis Lawrence, who wrote most of the films in the series, as well as screenwriter Michael Arndt and producer Nina Jacobson. In the film adaptation, Suzanne Collins’ original trilogy books were turned into four films that grossed nearly $3 billion at the box office. Nina Jacobson produced all four, Lawrence directed the last three and Arndt wrote the best, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

“The Hunger Games: Song of Birds and Serpents” is scheduled to premiere Nov. 15 in Brazil, two days before its U.S. release.
