Netflix confirms its investment in Italy As its local subscriber base grows, Netflix this week unveiled its new Italian productions, including a Supersex series dedicated to porn star Rocco Siffredi.
The seven-episode drama, loosely inspired by the real life of a man with over 1,500 pornographic films, will reveal unknown aspects of his life.
Created and written by Italian screenwriter Francesca Manieri (Who Are We, L’Immensita), known as a feminist activist, Supersex Starring Italian star Alessandro Borgh (Eight Mountains), as well as Saul Nunn (Tancred’s translator in the next Cheetah series adaptation) in his younger version.
“Rocco told me some lesser-known aspects of himself with great honesty and conviction“, he said Alessandro Borg (via Tech Game World). “He took me to his house, took out 10 hard drives with family photos, auditions and videos from the last 20 years. I met an incredible person who lives in fear of disappointing others and who has always lived with a sexual addiction that (inside) killed him.“
The series will tell a “deep story” according to Variety that will follow Rocco Siffredi’s life and professional journey, focusing on his childhood, his family and his special relationship with love, which led him to launch his career in X Cinema. .
