This is a historic Netflix feature. As soon as you identify yourself on the platform, you are allowed to receive a trailer that plays automatically every time you switch from one program to another.
This can quickly become annoying, especially if you just want to quickly read synopses of movies and series. Moving from one title to the next, a cacophony of sorts is created with each start of the trailer, and then it stops immediately… Next!
But don’t panic! We’ll explain how to turn off what we call trailer autoplay once and for all. Here’s how to do it:
Start by opening Netflix from your browser.
When you get to the home page, hover your mouse over your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen and select the Account tab.
Scroll down to “Profiles & Parental Controls” and click the little down arrow to the right of your profile as below.
Scroll down again until you see “Playback Options” and click “Edit.”
You just need to uncheck the box “Autoplay when browsing on all devices”.
And don’t forget to check it out by clicking “Save” at the bottom.
He is ! In less than two minutes, you’ve disabled autoplay trailers on Netflix! Now you can jump from one title to another to have only the information that interests you and without having to run the trailer on your own.
