Number 1: Sex education
After the closing of Moordale High School, Otis and Eric must reach a new milestone: their first day at Cavendish High School. Otis wants to show off his skills as a therapist, while Eric prays they don’t come off as losers this time. But Cavendish is in for a culture shock for the Moordale grads, who thought they were progressive and discovered a truly avant-garde high school: daily yoga classes in the garden, a keen environmental sensibility, and a student body known for their…kindness! Vivi worries about the lack of competition at this student-run school, and Jackson tries to get over his breakup with Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking art classes as an undergraduate major, and Adam wonders if she’s really cut out for the classics. In the United States, Maeve dreams of attending the prestigious Wallace University, where she studies with cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis, who longs for her, must learn to stop being the only son at home…nor the only therapist at school…

“Very good, like all seasons! We laugh, it’s a really good series. I recommend you 100%. Too bad there won’t be another season.“
According to Nicolas.H (3.0/5)
“Worst of the 4 seasons for me :/ The level is pretty low on the first 3 seasons, even though it deals with more mature and broader themes. However, the treatment of these subjects is prolonged and there is a general lack of interest in the episodes.
What made the first 3 seasons so fascinating was the atmosphere at Moordale School. This season 4 takes us to a new school where every hero is badass.
Some of the cast, which were the strengths of the series, only showed up for a few minutes to collect the check.
The relationships between the characters have become bland and uninteresting, especially for Otis and Maeve, where the couple exists only for the interest of die-hard fans. We feel that the characters no longer develop, but, on the contrary, regress in their development.
Like I said, this season looks like good fun, but in my opinion, it’s just too much. damage“

“The final season of the sex education series has drawn its final outline, and it’s not a bad thing, because the world of the characters is much more elevated and sparkling mentalities to shake. There are several side stories and unfortunately it becomes indigestible as the episodes go on. All backgrounds, orientations, and body types exist without discriminating against anyone. The series is moralistic but positive. The last episode somewhat disappointed me because of its open ending.“
why does it work
It’s no surprise that Season 4 of Sex Education shot to the top of the Netflix charts upon its release. Lori Nunn’s series has found and captivated its audience since its inception, and every new season since then has become an unmissable event. The fourth season was also the last, and we suspected there would be plenty of fans from the big day, although we note some disappointment in the comments from AlloCiné viewers above. The fact remains that Sex Education is and was a seminal series for teens (and everyone else) with its freewheeling tone that dealt with all things sexuality without blush and using all the necessary pedagogy. The series was also a springboard for its cast, some of whom (Emma Mackie and Nkuti Gatwa) were in the summer blockbuster, Barbie.
Number 2: Tap

From singer to businessman, minister to prisoner, Bernard Tapie has experienced it all. Through his successes and failures, the series traces the romantic fortunes of an extraordinary public figure.

According to Fabienne L (5/5):
“Very good. Well written. Well directed. Great casting. Amazing Laurent Lafitte. Attention to detail. Really successful.”
According to Kate34500 (4/5):
“Without being a particular fan of Tapp, I devoured this rhythmic, funny and exciting series as the famous character. Never a dull moment in 7 episodes, we are captivated by the amazing charisma of the actor, who is perfect for this role.”
According to elriad (5/5):
“Here is a wonderful mini-series that traces the extraordinary journey of this French self-made man, all deals for better and for worse. Laurent Lafitte is incredibly true, both in voice and gestures. The episodes prove it. Be charming. Special mention to Samuel Labarte, the impressive President François Mitterrand in the role. The long face-to-face between Tapp and Judge Eric de Montgolfier in the last episode is a real treat. Success.”
why does it work
Biopics and other works based on real people have always fascinated audiences, and Netflix has made a good business out of them. To attract French subscribers, nothing beats banking on one of France’s most admired and controversial figures: Bernard Tapie.
This multifaceted businessman with many lives has a history rich and strong enough to be the subject of a successful TV series. Netflix subscribers were quickly won over by this fictional biopic soberly titled Tapie, which depicts a slice of the life of this man, expertly played by Laurent Lafitte. The series quickly found its way into the top viewing charts and even took first place before being replaced by Tornado’s Sex Education.
Number 3: Dear Baby

Lena lives in total isolation in a highly secure cabin with her two children, Hannah and Jonathan. Their lives are strictly planned, from meals to bedtime, including trips to the bathroom. When their guardian enters the room, they line up, show their hands and obey him holding hands. But one day the young woman manages to escape. After a car accident that almost cost him his life, he ends up in the hospital with Hanna.

According to Reno Morgenthal (4.5/5):
“slap.
Released on Netflix in early September, the series “Chère Petite” tells the story of a woman and a little girl on the run from a monster that’s been abducting them… and it’s been a long time coming.. .. It restarted a 13-year investigation… .
But we shouldn’t trust appearances: as the story progresses, we realize that we don’t always know who is who and what role each character plays…
What emerges from this story (which definitely reminds us of the case of Natasha Kampusch) is a heavy, dark and fascinating atmosphere that will linger.
Everything is served by good actors (the little girl who plays the rather dangerous role of little Hannah is extraordinary).
To have!“
According to Yasmin Kouyate (4/5):
“This series captivates from beginning to end. For those who love dramas, you are in for a treat. We always want to know what happens next after every episode, suspense that won’t let you go and little Anna is perfect.”
According to Damien Bescu (3/5):
“Interesting story but spoiled by the production, endless narration, unbelievable actors (except for the little girl), curious editing, everything goes a little flat, without much emotion.”
why does it work
Nothing can stop Dear Little, the German series adapted from Romi Haussmann’s bestseller, which, in addition to dethroning One Piece, continues to overtake it in its third week. It is not surprising that this detective has found its place among Netflix subscribers, when we know that the platform has an impressive catalog. true crimes and other crime stories.
Number 4: one piece

According to Lia (5/5):
“An excellent adaptation, we clearly find the soul of the manga. The characters are very attractive, the plot is engaging and the visuals are simply excellent. A mini-series that can be devoured at full speed. A real success!”
According to Jules Ribreu (4.5/5):
“I’m very pleasantly surprised, I was expecting endless annoying and poorly executed live action, but instead, the series pays good respect to the original work with a very entertaining and thoughtful, good adaptation.”
According to Jerome R. (3.5/5):
“Honestly, it’s pretty successful for live action. The story and tone of the manga is respected (for the most part), the actors, though uneven, get the job done, except maybe Shanks, who is sorely lacking in charisma in this adaptation.
For anime fans who criticize dubbing, watch it in English and you won’t be deaf. The Japanese version (apparently with the anime’s official voices) doesn’t really do justice to the cast, as for the French version, it’s also very uneven based on the characters.
The decorations are quite successful, the costumes a little less so. Anyway, short of a masterpiece, I can only congratulate you on a result that exceeds the expectations of many.
Anyway, I enjoyed seeing Luffy in his early days. Let’s see if that leads to a sequel.”
why does it work
The weeks follow each other and are (more or less) the same for One Piece. The live adaptation of the best-selling manga of all time (more than 500 million copies in circulation) continues to occupy the top 5 of Netflix France.
Let us remind you that the series – one of the most expensive ever produced – has already been renewed for a second season. Its next episodes may also welcome the Oscar-winning actor, who is campaigning on social media to portray a very specific character in the piece.
Number 5: Kengan Ashura

Underground gladiator Toki Taouma fights with his bare hands on behalf of Nogi Hideki, a ruthless businessman who spends these brutal matches to get rich.
Viewers rating on AlloCiné: 4.1/5
According to Chris (5/5):
“Kengan Ashura seems to be getting used to being compared to its rival Baki. And there’s really no reason for that. Kengan Ashura is absolutely better in every way. Graphics, realism, variety of fighters, soundtrack, denoument… A real wonder. For the eyes that Netflix gave us!” “
According to Fabian Plantadi (4.5/5):
“Animation well deserving of 5 stars. I much prefer it to Bucky’s (only the tournament arc is passable as the animations are poorly done), and Kengan Ashura is well done, the fights are fluid. Only downside: production time. !! Over 2 years Netflix is laughing at us for making 8 episodes! The anime is worth 5 stars, Netflix is worth 1 star (it’s an exclusive series for them so…)”
According to YoannBlitzBrigade (1/5):
“I find the anime very bad, especially the animation which gives the impression that it is not finished, the characters are very poorly done, and above all, it should not be compared to Bucky, who is a thousand times better.”
why does it work
A series of battles that hit hard! Of course, you have to be a fan of the genre in the first place to be seduced by this type of series, but there is no doubt that the mastery of the ultra-violent codes of fighting anime explains the incredible success that this program has met. by Netflix.
A series that shouldn’t be for everyone, but incredibly addicting for anyone with a strong enough stomach!
