Kelly must reorganize his brigade

Amber feels responsible for the argument between Kelly and Lionel the previous day. Kelly reassures him that he’s not going to let himself be defeated. As they head to the vegetable garden, Kelly shares her culinary ideas with Amber: she wants to work with Romanesco cabbage as the centerpiece of their appetizer and main course. For the latter, he plans to process cabbage with shellfish.

Arriving there, Kelly and Ambre meet Lionel and Suleiman, the young chef’s new clerk. Kelly noticed that the cabbage had also arrived. Lionel then gives her his basket and states that he is going to go for something else because the cabbage is too gross. In return, Kelly thinks he doesn’t want to lose to her while they’re working on the same ingredient. Lionel replies that he really doesn’t want Kelly to fall apart when she realizes she doesn’t have a level. Kelly decides to leave the scene without giving her friend the finger as she leaves. The tension is at its peak…

At the commissary, Kelly and Ambres are surprised by Carla’s absence. They also discuss their dish and admit that Lionel is not entirely wrong about the taste of the cabbage, which will have to be rolled over. Malik, overhearing their conversation, allows himself to approach them to share the idea. But Ambre rejects him, preferring to brainstorm only with the girls on her squad. Disappointed, Malik refuses and leaves. Kelly makes Ambre realize that she’s being a little too pushy with him. Even if Ambre admits it, she can’t help it because it’s too embarrassing for her to suspect that she’s Ophelia.

At the workshop, Kelly and Amber find Carla and ask why she didn’t join them at the commissary. Carla thinks that three of them are not needed to carry the boxes. However, Kelly criticizes him for not starting preparations in anticipation of them. She instructs him to take care of the curls. Horrified, Carla categorically refuses to be touched and leaves the workshop. Lionel, observing the scene, then arrives to taunt Kelly.

Amber and Kelly find Carla outside the workshop and demand an explanation. While Kelly reminds her that she should respect the hierarchy, Carla is rude to her and criticizes her ideas for the competition. Kelly fires him from the squad. Amber is sorry for the situation, for which she feels responsible.

Later, Kelly runs into Malik at the park. He knows that Carla has been fired from their brigade and again offers to be his clerk. Kelly promises to discuss with Ambre and inform her of their decision. Malik informed him that he had worked on an idea to make his dish. Kelly can’t help but be curious.

Malik takes Kelly to the atelier to try his plate of Romanesco cabbage and sparkling grapes. Kelly is absolutely amazed. Malik points out that he was only inspired by an existing recipe, but Kelly urges him not to be so modest. Thanks to him, he also came up with the idea to add another ingredient to the iodized side. Anyway, it’s clear that he wants him in his brigade. It remains to convince Amber.

Malik is gone, Kelly brings another to the workshop. She plans to hire Leonard as a clerk. But Kelly forces him to try Malik’s version of the dish. Amber is also excited. Kelly then reveals to him that it was Malik’s idea. She expresses her desire to hire him as a clerk, but wants to have the opinion of Amber, who is still uncomfortable. Kelly promises to cover for him if he ever takes off his mask or is fired for the slightest misbehavior. Ambre finally relents and accepts that Malik will be their clerk.

In the locker room, Malik finds Amber and says he understands why she refused to be part of their team. She thinks that Kelly is Ophel and that Amber knows her secret, so she tried to protect her…

Olivia talks to him about setting up a master’s student project management in case he might be interested.

With Mare’s roommate, Salome talks to Anais and brings up an idea for a new project: she wants to create a collaborative experience with her clients. For example, recreating a dish they liked based on what they are told about it, or adapting recipes to their diet. If Anais finds that her concept will be difficult to implement, she is still encouraged. Like Gaitan, who is very cheerful.

Salome also hopes they will play guinea pigs and asks what they would like him to do for them. Gaitan gives him a list of the things he values most, a little teasingly. It lists: wild boar, empanadas and black olives. Anais, in turn, tells him about a meal she had on vacation in Martinique when she was little: curried shrimp tempura and zabitan soup. After that, Gaitan leaves the two girls in the kitchen. Anais then points out that there is still great chemistry between her and Salome, but the latter confirms that they are just friends.

Penelope must sacrifice her life as a couple

In Chef Armand’s class, second-year and first-year couples must replicate the exact recipe for lamb in a crust. Penelope convinces Billy to replace the espelette pepper, which he can’t eat, with black pepper in the crust.

Confident Penelope asks the chef to come and taste their plate. Clotilde immediately notices the change in ingredients and scolds Penelope for not following her instructions. The young woman defends herself by saying that she respected the dish perfectly, except for one ingredient that was not to her taste, which she chose to substitute. But Chef Armand puts him in his place and gives him five days to create a spicy dish that he will judge after tasting.

After the lesson, Penelope regrets that she did not follow the instructions and did not end up in this situation. He doesn’t feel like he can create a spicy dish in five days, but Bill is there to support him. Penelope is also sad that she has to give up a weekend with her friends with her beloved Baptiste. When the latter calls her, she is forced to explain that they cannot see each other because she has to work at the institute. When he hangs up, Penelope feels guilty. To distract her, Billy invites her and Tom out for a drink.

At the bar, Penelope says her boyfriend of 15 years is happy for her, but she hasn’t really thought about what that means for their relationship. Although Tom suggests that she break up and go to the Institute teacher, Penelope calls Baptiste to tell him how much she can’t wait to see him in ten days.
