Fernanda Liberti received R$ 106 thousand and will exhibit in Italy
The Brazilian photographer Fernanda Liberti was awarded in the “Photo Grant Deloitte” photography competition, in the “Open Call” section, with the project “Dust from home”, focused on the diversity of migrations.
The prize, offered by the Italian headquarters of Deloitte, one of the largest auditing firms in the world, includes 20 thousand euros (R$ 106 thousand) to carry out the project itself and the opportunity to exhibit at the next edition of Photo Grant Deloitte.
The recognition, in its first edition, was delivered at the Deloitte headquarters in Milan.
The theme chosen was “Connections”, and the candidates will have to highlight, through photos, current issues of interest especially to younger people, proposing their own narrative and visual interpretation of what it means to be connected on a human, professional, economic and environmental level.
The main prize went to the Iranian Newsha Tavakolian, with “And they laughed at me”, about her personal vision of contemporary Iran.
In addition to the 40 thousand euros (R$ 212 thousand), Tavakolian will organize an exhibition at the Museum of Cultures in Milan (Mudec). .
