A film recorded the encounter between dogs and marine animals
The storm that hit Rio Grande do Sul caused an unusual scene in the south of the state. In the city of Rio Grande, the flooding of the Lagoa dos Patos favored the interaction between sea lions and dogs that were on the asphalt.
The video of the moment was widely shared on social media. And it’s not the first time animals have been spotted in unusual places. In November last year, a sea lion measuring 2 meters long and weighing 200 kg was spotted in the sand of Praia do Cassino, also in the Rio Grande.

In Porto Alegre, what makes the situation critical is the flooding of Lake Guaíba, which according to the municipality has reached its highest level in 82 years. On the morning of this Wednesday 27th, the lake reached 3.17 meters in Cais Mauá, the highest level since 1941.
To mitigate the effects of the flood, the municipality expanded accommodation options for the population along the river. The Foundation for Social Assistance and Citizenship (Fasc) registers 180 people hosted in four temporary spaces, two of which are new structures.
