A huge success on Netflix, Alice in Wonderland is a direct adaptation of Haro Aso’s shonen of the same name. The Japanese series, directed by Shinsuke Satō (Bleach), tells the story of Arisu’s (Kento Yamazaki) survival in an alternate Tokyo, which is transformed into a life-size escape game, a cross between The Hunger Games, Cube and Battle Royale.
As she progresses through this dangerous world, Arisu must participate in deadly games with multiple levels of difficulty and collect playing cards in hopes of escaping this world controlled by mysterious individuals.

If the American giant wants to expand the world of Alice in Wonderland, it can turn to adaptations of other works of the author, such as Alice on the Border Roadwhich follows a schoolboy trapped in an alternate version of Tokyo who battles the owners of playing cards to get back into his world.
Netflix may also translate it to the screen Alice in the Borderlands: The Return, in which Arisu returns to the Borderland and encounters a new series of games to escape and get back to his pregnant wife.
