Lara Croft on Netflix: First Images of Tomb Raider Video Game Adaptation

As its name suggests, Drop 01 last night released images of some of Netflix’s most anticipated animated productions in the coming months (Drop in English means to let go). This new promotional event organized by the platform also made it possible to preview the first episodes of the new series Castlevania: Nocturne.

The long-announced Tomb Raider series has released its first teaser. This new adaptation of Lara Croft’s adventures will see Hayley Atwell (Mission: Impossible – Deadly Retribution) lend her voice to the character. The British actress succeeds Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in this role.

Another video game that fans love is also set to become a Netflix animated series, as the platform released a short teaser for its adaptation of the Devil May Cry saga.

This five-episode saga follows the adventures of a private detective specializing in demon hunting armed with two pistols and a magically powered sword.

In addition to images from the third season of Sonic Prime, Netflix has also lifted the curtain on its ambitious series Blue Eye Samurai, the story of a half-blood swordsman seeking revenge in Edo-era Japan.

This animated series is co-written by Michael Green (Logan and Blade Runner 2029) and program creator Amber Noizumi.

Finally, Netflix has released the trailer for its new series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, which subscribers of the platform will be able to discover from October 19.

Set in a dystopian world, this program features a super-soldier at the head of a team of mercenaries willing to do anything to fight the propaganda and corruption that rules their world.

As you may have guessed, Netflix is ​​not going to slow down in the animation field, quite the contrary. As these different series that will soon appear on the platform will prove to us that they come from different worlds and target different audiences.

Note that the Castlevania: Nocturne series is currently only available on Netflix.
