Netflix: Subscribers love this animated series, can’t wait for the 2024 sequel!

The Japanese animated series appears in the ranking of the most watched series on Netflix this week. This is Kengan Ashura, adapted from the manga of the same name written by Jabako Sandrović and written by Daromeon (available in 27 volumes from publisher Meian).

At number six in France’s top 10, the series is currently the fourth most-watched series worldwide on the platform (with a total of 11.7 million hours watched). It is notably in the top 10 of countries such as Morocco, India, Mexico, Chile, Taiwan and of course Japan.

This adult fighting series is set in a world similar to ours, where there is an ancestral martial arts tournament that allows the biggest companies to conduct their business in secret. During these endless battles, each company appoints its champion, who is responsible for facing the competitor.

More specifically, the series follows the journey of Ohma Tokita, a young fighter with an interesting past. The latter is followed by Kazuo Yamashita, A salary man Moving through this bloody world in spite of himself, and whose future at Kegan’s company, which employs him, depends solely on the results of his bee victory.

Kengan Ashura is sometimes compared to Baki, another Netflix anime, for its unbridled violence, fights between different martial arts, but also because the two series have in common that they have a secret rival organization.

However, the difference between the two series lies in the focus on Kengan Ashura’s characters and plot development. Let’s also highlight the better animation quality of this anime, although its CGI graphics may not be for everyone.

Still, many fans agree to praise the staging quality of Kengan Ashura’s fights and the addictive aspect of the Netflix show’s twelve-episode half-seasons.

Although the first part of the anime’s 2nd season was released on September 21, we will unfortunately have to wait until 2024 to discover the second part on the platform.

The wait is considered unbearable for fans, especially since it has already been four years since seasons 1 and 2 aired. But there’s no doubt they’ll be there once Netflix is ​​ready to stream twelve new episodes of its new hit. Japanese anime!
