Anderson Spider Silva: Check out the new photos from the series about the fighter

One of the legends of MMA, Anderson Silva, known as Spider, will win a series that will tell his story inside and outside the ring. Paramount+ has released new images from the production, which is expected to arrive on the platform in 2023.

The athlete will be played by several actors: Caetano Vieira (as a child), Bruno Vinicius (as a teenager) and William Nascimento (as an adult).

The series titled “Anderson Spider Silva” was created by Marton Olympio and is directed by Caíto Ortiz, produced by Paramount in collaboration with Pródigo Filmes.

Strong cast

You’ll probably recognize a famous face from the series: Seu Jorge is one of the most important actors in the work. The singer, who has had success in films such as “Marighella”, “Pixinguinha – Um Homem Carinhoso” and “Medida Provisória”, will play Anderson Silva’s uncle. The character was an important figure in the fighter’s life, being responsible for creating him.

Anderson’s aunt will be played by actress Tatiana Tiburcio, known for her work in “M8 – Quando a Morte Socorr a Vida” and “Terra e Paixão”. The cast also includes Douglas Silva, Jean Paulo Campos, Jeniffer Dias, Larissa Nunes, Milhem Cortaz and Vaneza Oliveira.

About Anderson Silva

Anderson Silva was born in Sao Paulo, but was raised by his aunt and uncle on the outskirts of Curitiba. As a child he learned to fight and dedicated himself to taekwondo, jiu-jitsu and muay thai, later obtaining a black belt in all these martial arts.

The fighter is one of Brazil’s top names and has already won World MMA Awards such as Athlete of the Year (2008), Sports Illustrated Athlete of the Year (2008) and ESPN.com’s Knockout of the Year (2011). He is estimated to have a net worth ofaround 15 and 20 million US dollars (somewhere between R$74 million and R$100 million).
