The third work of this Marvel franchise should arrive in theaters (if all goes well) next year.
Released in 2018, the first Venom film was a success, grossing $856 million in global revenue on a $100 million budget. With a lightheartedness Tom Hardy as Spider-Man’s super enemy, the film was entitled to a sequel in 2021: Time for carnage.
This second episode grossed $506 million internationally, for a budget of $110 million. If it had a lower yield than the previous work (the Covid pandemic partly explains this lower profit compared to the first), the combination of the two works increases the value to 1.36 billion in revenues.
