Interpreting Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the great actor Richard Harris is sadly absent from this third opus.

The Irish actor died of Hodgkin’s disease (cancer of the lymph nodes) in October 2002, a few days before the world premiere of the second part. He was then replaced by his compatriot Michael Gambon.
