Created by 3D Realms, the character was transferred to Gearbox Software in 2009. The ice cabinet is instantly recognizable by its brush, sunglasses, huge rifles and red tank cover.
After a long delay, it seems the project is finally back on track! according to Hollywood ReporterLegendary Entertainment has restored the rights to begin adapting the character.

The three performers in this difficult venture will be supported by French producer Jean-Julien Barone, who specializes in video game adaptation. A priori, Josh Hilde, John Horwitz and Hayden Schlossberg should collaborate on the script. The studio is currently looking for a director.
