Alviverde starts the group in second place in the Brasileirão – seven points behind Botafogo -, with 44 points gained in a championship of 12 wins, eight draws and four defeats. In turn, Bragantino wants to overtake Alviverde himself in the rankings. Massa Bruta’s balance sheet is 42 points, 11 wins, nine draws and four defeats.
In the duel between the first round teams, Palmeiras finished 1-1 against Bragantino at Allianz Parque. Artur scored for the home team. Juninho Capixaba equalized for the visitors, with a great goal scored in the 25th minute of the second half.
