Falling by the wayside doesn’t mean your statement is wrong. According to the IRS, if any difference is found between the information reported by you and the information submitted by other entities, your return will be separated for further analysis.

Taxpayers can check the status of their declaration through the application “My income tax“, available on the internet or for mobile devices (mobile phones and tablets). In the same system it is possible to consult pending issues and check the reason for them. Simply log in and click on the “Pending Mesh” service.

Find out how to solve problems

  • Access the e-CAC (Virtual Service Center);
  • Log in and find the “My Income Tax (DIRPF Declaration)” option;
  • In the “processing” or “IRPF Services” tab, choose the “pending mesh” item;
  • In this tab it is possible to check whether the declaration is withheld in the narrow mesh and the reason for the withholding. If the retention is linked only to compilation errors or lack of information, it is necessary to send a corrective declaration.

It is important to highlight that, after receiving the subpoena, the taxpayer can no longer make the correction through the program. Before that, the IRS itself indicates where the problem lies.

If the information is correct and the return is still blocked, the taxpayer should schedule a visit to the Federal Revenue Service. At that time you will need to submit all the evidence used in the declaration.

The refunds were paid in five batches:

  • 1st batch: May 31st
  • 2nd batch: June 30th
  • 3rd batch: 31 July
  • 4th batch: August 31st
  • 5th batch: 29 September

If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of his refund within 1 (one) year, he will have to request it through the e-CAC portalavailable on the Federal Revenue website, by accessing the Declarations and statements > My income taxes menu and clicking on “Request unclaimed refund from the banking network”.
