Iconic singer of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks exalted Barbiefilm directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbiejust over two months after the film’s release on July 20, 2023 in Brazilian cinemas.
During an interview with People, Nicks commented on how he “loved” the film and praised specific Gerwig. “I thought the director was magnificent,” she said. “We thought, ‘Well, how am I going to do this? What should it be about? Is there something specific going on in it?'”
Greta, she said, ‘Oh, okay. I am up to that challenge.’ And what a challenge that was, in my opinion.
“If someone told me that, I would expect to have a husband or a partner [como Noah Baumbach, marido e co-roteirista de Barbie],” the artist continued. “She had someone to be the sounding board for the two of them to write.”
Finally, Stevie Nicks spoke about the importance of working as a team: “Because if it had just been you sitting in your house, at your desk, trying to write that story with no one to lean on or anyone to really write with, that would have been very difficult. That would be the song that would have no ending.”
