Netflix has released the poster and subtitled trailer for the new teen comedy series “Boo, Bitch”, which stars Lana Condor, star of the “To All the Boys” trilogy, as a ghost.
The preview is fun, but not very enlightening about the character’s plight, who can’t walk through doors and apparently records videos, has an Instagram account, and normally lives with classmates as if he’s anything but a ghost.
According to the synopsis, the plot revolves around a student (Condor) who has lived his entire life under the radar, until the day he decides to change his narrative to embark on an epic lifestyle. But when he decides to draw attention to himself, he has an accident and ends up turning into a ghost.
In addition to Condor, the cast also includes Zoe Colletti (“The Walking Dead”), Reid Miller (“A Girl Named Jo”), Alyssa Jirrels (“Saved by the Bell”), Tenzing Norgay Trainor (“Liv and Maddie”) . ), Jason Genao (“On My Block”), Conor Husting (“The Prince of Peoria”), Savira Windyani (“Unfriended 2”), Aparna Brielle (“AP Bio”) and Austin Fryberger (“Snatchers”), including the others.
The eight-episode attraction began as a specific to the shorts Tim Schauer and Kuba Soltysiak, and took the form of a series when it was reworked by Lauren Iungerich (creator of “On My Block”) and Erin Ehrlich (screenwriter of ” Crazy Ex- Girlfriend “). The two had previously worked together on “Awkward”. (created by Iungerich) on MTV and will share the production of the new series with Lana Condor herself.
The actress was last seen on Netflix as Lara Jean in the farewell of her hit trilogy, “To All the Boys: Now and Forever,” which was released in February last year. She has since starred in “Our Dreams From Mars” on HBO Max and shot “Acme,” a film for Warner Bros. about the crazy “Looney Tunes” cartoon goods store, which opens in 2023.
“Boo, Bitch” will be streaming on July 8th.
